Devenue c\u00e9l\u00e8bre dans <b>l\u2019art monumental, <\/b>elle a expos\u00e9 ses portraits mosa\u00efques dans plusieurs galeries du monde.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">L\u2019engagement de Nadia au <b>Parti Communiste<\/b> se traduit en faveur de son engagement au <b>Front populaire<\/b> dans les ann\u00e9es 30. Ses premi\u00e8res \u0153uvres engag\u00e9es telles que <i>Autoportrait au drapeau rouge (1936)\u00a0 <\/i>seront ainsi utilis\u00e9es pour orner les manifestations populaires.\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Sous l\u2019Occupation, Nadia entre dans <b>la R\u00e9sistance<\/b> tandis que son mari, Fernand L\u00e9ger, se r\u00e9fugie aux Etats Unis. A la Lib\u00e9ration, Nadia met son talent <b>au service du PCF<\/b>. Les <b>portraits g\u00e9ants \u00e0 l\u2019effigie des leaders communistes et sovi\u00e9tiques<\/b> qu\u2019elle r\u00e9alise sont utilis\u00e9s pour d\u00e9corer les congr\u00e8s et les \u00e9v\u00e8nements majeurs du parti.\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Dans les ann\u00e9es 1970, Nadia con\u00e7oit une <b>s\u00e9rie de portraits en mosa\u00efque monumentale.<\/b> Ceux-ci seront r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par les c\u00e9l\u00e8bres mosa\u00efstes Lino et Heidi Melano. Offertes \u00e0 l\u2019URSS, ces mosa\u00efques seront <b>expos\u00e9es \u00e0 Moscou<\/b>. On peut les trouver aujourd\u2019hui dans les lieux publics dans plusieurs villes de Russie.<\/p><h2>Nadia Khodossievitch L\u00e9ger: Une artiste dans l&rsquo;ombre de son mari<\/h2><p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Nadia Khodossievitch\u00a0 fit un travail consid\u00e9rable de <b>promotion du talent de son \u00e9poux<\/b>, Fernand L\u00e9ger (1881\u20131955), l\u2019un des plus grands artistes fran\u00e7ais de la premi\u00e8re moiti\u00e9 du XX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">En effet, en 1952 Nadia se marie avec Fernand L\u00e9ger. Cet \u00e9v\u00e8nement correspond \u00e0 un tournant dans son \u0153uvre. Ainsi, elle expose \u00e0 la galerie Bernheim-jeune, et ses toiles se situent dans la veine du <b>r\u00e9alisme socialiste<\/b>. <b>L\u2019influence de son mari<\/b> se d\u00e9voile dans certaines de ses \u0153uvres les plus abouties tels que \u00ab\u00a0Les constructeurs\u00a0\u00bb qui fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153uvre iconique de Fernand L\u00e9ger.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Elle fait construire le <b>mus\u00e9e Fernand-L\u00e9ger \u00e0 Biot<\/b> apr\u00e8s la mort de celui-ci en 1955. Le mus\u00e9e est inaugur\u00e9 en 1960 en pr\u00e9sence de Maurice Thorez et de Marc Chagall.\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Apr\u00e8s s\u2019\u00eatre remari\u00e9e avec Georges Banquier, elle d\u00e9cider d\u2019offrir, \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es soixante, <b>le b\u00e2timent, le parc et<\/b> <b>pr\u00e8s de 400 \u0153uvres de son mari \u00e0 l\u2019Etat<\/b>. Ces \u0153uvres comprennent \u00e0 la fois des peintures, dessins, c\u00e9ramiques, bronzes et tapisseries. Le <b>mus\u00e9e national Fernand-L\u00e9ger<\/b> devient officiellement un bien public en f\u00e9vrier 1969. La donation de Nadia est alors reconnue par Andr\u00e9 Malraux, ministre d&rsquo;\u00c9tat charg\u00e9 des Affaires culturelles.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 300;\"><b>Vivant dans l\u2019ombre de Fernand L\u00e9ger et<\/b> se consacrant \u00e0 sa m\u00e9moire apr\u00e8s sa mort, Nadia Khodossievitch L\u00e9ger n\u00e9glige sa propre promotion. Ainsi, son \u0153uvre personnelle reste \u00e0 ce jour m\u00e9connue.\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Pour <b>r\u00e9habiliter sa m\u00e9moire<\/b>, plusieurs auteurs se sont livr\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019autobiographie de l\u2019artiste dont Aymar du Chatenet qui r\u00e9dige <i>\u00ab Nadia L\u00e9ger, l\u2019histoire extraordinaire d\u2019une femme de l\u2019ombre<\/i> \u00bb, en septembre 2019.<\/p><h2>Une exposition riche<\/h2><p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Cette exposition sera compos\u00e9e de 50 \u0153uvres de l\u2019artiste (peintures, dessins, gouaches, lithographies, peintures sur soie). Ces oeuvres sont issues de collections priv\u00e9es fran\u00e7aises, appartenant entre autres aux descendants de l\u2019artiste, ainsi que de la collection du Mus\u00e9e des Beaux-Arts de Minsk.
